Village by Village
Building the New Green Economy.
Green Self-Reliance is a hybrid socioeconomic model that will increase agricultural productivity in Africa while minimizing capital risk. This model blends the efficiency and profitability of a corporate business with the social and environmental conscience of an NGO. By building partnerships with rural African communities and establishing a cooperative distribution network, GSR unlocks the potential of the African market. GSR uses green technology to create a profitable, sustainable regional economy.

"This is the first workable and viable grass-roots development that I have seen in the past three decades that can lift millions of Africans out of poverty if replicated across the continent. It does not rely on foreign aid; nor does it rely on corrupt and incompetent African governments. Had we implemented a model such as this at independence in the 1960s, the destiny of Africa would have been much brighter than the current fare of gratuitous mayhem, wanton carnage, mass starvation and state collapse."... Village Self Reliance - Village Self reliance is the key to unlocking strong sustainable economic growth. empowering members of rural communities to build strong economies. According to Satish Kumar, head of the London Schumacher Society and editor of Resurgence magazine, “a locally based economy enhances community spirit, community relationships, and community well-being. Such an economy encourages mutual aid. Members of the village take care of themselves, their families, their neighbors, their animals, lands, forestry, and all the natural resources for the benefit of present and future generations”
Our initial assessment team will tour extensively through the target areas. Working closely with traditional leadership, we will secure effective title for the required land, A thorough GIS mapping and soil analysis will determine which crops will respond best to cultivation and what roadblocks need to be addressed (such as water requirements, natural pest problems, geographical and transport issues etc.)
